I am new to mac and has installed parallels to run few windows only applications. Now I am unable to save files form some mac applications to some folders. It says those folders are read only. But the folder info says its writable. I also repaired the write permission is disk utilities. No use. But I can save the same same file to desktop and drag drop it to the problem folder. PLEASE HELP. I use Macbook pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) mavericks 10.9.2 with parallels 9 and win 7.

Does this happen with every application or is it only some applications that won't let you write to the folder? Where is the folder? What are the full set of permissions on the folder (at the bottom of the Get Info window)?

After having this problem, I changed the user permission to all users as read and write.
Immediately after that it didn't seem to work but for some reason after a sleep wake session it seems that its working. I will get back if I i get the same problem again.
Thank you for that quick response.
