If I edit photos on the iPhoto for iOS app, do the photos automatically show in my iPhoto for Mac library, or do I have to manually add each iPhoto edit from iOS into the iPhoto library on the Mac?

I understand that iCloud and Photostream make this a bit simpler, but I'm not entirely liking how Apple handles photography in Photostream (the 1000 limit and 30 day limit).

Photos from Photostream that are synced to your Mac are automatically moved in iPhoto (for Mac) to their own event after 30 days, so don't worry about the limitations of Photostream -- you won't lose anything.

As for your question about iPhoto editing on iOS, the result is saved to your Photos -- which is synced with your Mac (or should be, anyway) -- so the answer is that your edits will show up in iPhoto for Mac on the next sync.
