I do simple work with graphics and video and I have an iPod classic with almost 164 GB of music and podcasts (I travel for work). Which MacBook Pro do I really need. I don't have $3500 for the one I want.

If you do a lot of traveling you really should decide if you want something light and easy to carry around or prefer a larger more powerful machine.

I suggest taking a look at the specs for the latest MacBook Air machines, both the 11" and 13" models. The two MacBook Pro 13" models available are the standard and retina machines.

Keep in mind that the MacBook Air and all the retina model MacBook Pros are not upgradeable once purchased. So whatever you decide to buy, make sure you get enough memory and a large enough hard drive or SSD to suit all your needs.

If $3500 is outside of the budget...what is the budget?

p.s. By the way. $3500 is probably almost the "top-end" MBP. Wouldn't we all like to be able to afford the top-end computer we want.;)
