Hi,

Does anyone know if the current G5s are compatible with the new SATA2 harddrives?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure they're not compatible with the 3G (SATA2) standard. Honestly, though, SATA2 is just plain overkill in most applications, unless you have at least three or four RAID drives linked together.

Wow... I have a Quad and was fairly confident that it would be. I'm a video and film editor so even the 20% performance gain is worthwhile to me.
