Mac Office 2011 issue

Trying to make the switch but I have a weird issue, a lot of the Word forms made on PC that I use have Unicode Character - 0xF8FF (a.k.a. "") in them.

This character simply doesn't appear when I open the file in Mac Office 2011, is there a way to fix this?
