dvd to iDvd?

Hello,

Long time user, first time poster.

I use iMovie to make short 'closers' as they are known on Tv. Basically sunday league football edited to a song.

One of my projects was inadvertently deleted, and now only exists as a dvd created in iDVD.

I have also lost one of the tapes so cannot re-edit the project from scratch.

Short of filming the DVD as it plays through a monitor, I have no idea how to recover the missing project. Does anyone know if I am able to somehow use the DVD to recover the project and re-enter it into iMovie or iDVD?

I am praying for an answer in the affirmative!

you can use handbrake to take it from the dvd to put it into a .mov file.

I need a bit more help - I have no idea what handbrake is!!!
