Ist Mac purchase

Advice on laptops would be greatly appreciated.

2 people want to buy 2 notebooks that we will network at home and each use at college.

We both are going for degrees, one in web design and the other in music technology. I know Adobe Creative 6 or Cloud and Pro Tools and several other music technology programs will be in daily use on the separate computers.

We also work from home with our computers so the notebook's need long life.

Thanks for suggestions and comparisons.

The new MacBook Air 13" model with maximum memory and at least a 256 GB SSD. If you can wait until the Fall, the new MacBook Pro models should be available.

Thanks so much for the info. Definitely am going to wait for new Pros, thinking the memory upgrade from Air will help with the larger programs we have to purchase for school.
