• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi, I'm trying to finish an IMovie video before we do an upgrade to Snow Leopard. At some point I had access to my Go Pro videos in my Event Library but now they're not there. I can see them in IPhoto but can't figure out how to move the videos to IMovie or change them so I can access them in my Event Library. When I'm in IMovie and bring up I Photo via the camera icon, I don't see the videos. I only use this program to make a video about once a year so I'm dangerous with this at best. I've tried dragging and dropping, cutting and pasting, etc. I'm sure I'm missing something simple and would appreciate some assistance.

Thanks in advance,
Troy in Far-Nor-Cal

As you are waiting to upgrade to SL, which version of iMovie are you using?

Not sure how much iMovie has changed from Leopard .v to the ML .v. I have iMovie 11, but wonder why you aren't using the Import feature under iMovie>File>Import>Movies ?? That seems to be the logical way of getting them in to your Library.
Then all you need to do is navigate to the iPhoto Library in Pictures, OR Drag all the videos out of iPhoto into Movies then using the same Import function Navigate to Movies>The movies you just dragged and do it that way.
Several options open to you.
