My mom is trying to edit a Pages document she has made annual changes to since 2009, but somehow, when she tries to type in any price (ie. $200.00) the dollar sign and cents disappear. Can someone help me coach her ASAP? Thank you so much!

Sounds like its a value being typed into a table that doesn't have the format options set as you would like them.
Click anywhere in the table and open the Inspector. Go to Table, then Format and select the $ sign and 2 decimal places
