First up, sorry for having a Windows PC , but I needed something to play blu-rays on that didn't cost the earth. Anyway, on to the request.
I have an iMac which is the central computer for the house, everything streams from it. I had to get my ISP to give me some tech support yesterday, which involved them taking it over remotely for a moment.
Anyway, afterwards, I went downstairs to the media PC and nothing was streaming any more. I tried a few things and nothing worked, then I checked online and saw a program called SMBUp. So I tried that, and it seemed to make things worse - now, the iMac wasn't showing up on the Network section of Windows Explorer at all and things still weren't sharing.
So, is there a solution to this? I'm okay with the command line but not great, and if I have to I don't mind doing a complete reset of the Mac (there's not a lot on it).
