Yes indeed, every 'new to me' computer I buy, get's a new hard drive and memory upgrade. Now that I think of it, I also do a 'clean' install of the OS. One thing I never do, is to button-up the computer on first boot. I don't want to jinx it. ;D

When setting up a new computer? No, nothing special. The setup experience from Apple is AMAZING, why would I mess with that? I mean, I run Software Update after its set up to make sure I'm completely up-to-date before I get to work with it, but other than that I can't think of anything.
