Using old memory

MacBook, 13-inch, mid 2010, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, OS X 10.8.2
I just recently put more memory into my macbook (used to be 2GB, upgraded to 4GB). I am wondering if I can use the the memory I took out of my macbook for other uses.

Sure you can. As long as the ram you removed is compatible with the "other uses".
