basic: how do i setup harmony to wake mac mini?

hi, seen many posts on the subject all over the net but confusing.. now i'm not even sure if this is possible. where is the IR receiver on my mac mini (2012)? front?

how do i setup logitech harmony 650 remote and use it to wake/sleep mac mini? is it possible?

tried pairing harmony in the preference-->General-->security privacy but doesnt seem to work.

I believe that the IR sensor on the Mac Mini only works with the Apple remote. And yes, it is right on the front of the machine.
