keyboard shortcut to hide all open windows

Hi,

I have a probably really simple question but didn´t find out so far......... is there a keyboard shortcut to hide all open windows on the screen.

I know the command-H to hide an active window but I need one to hide everything and show again everything?

Is there maybe even a terminal command to do this?

I am really interested to learn more shortcuts and also terminal commands but I would need something like a list of common or often used shortcuts and commands....... do such lists exist somewhere?

F11 key.

Thanks a lot Nick...... it is fn+F11 on my keyboard but great to know.

is there also a terminal command to hide stuff?

If you have an Apple keyboard (or laptop keyboard) that has the various functions like sound up/down, mute, brightness up/down, etc. already programed into the function keys...yes...you have to use the "fn" key + F11.

I don't mess around with Terminal very much...so I cannot answer that. But other foks do...and they may have a solution.
