is there a way to make lion run on a core duo imac

I would like to upgrade my 2006 core duo imac to lion if at all possible, looks like there is a hack for the developer preview but not the final edition. it would be awesome if there is but snow leopard isnt bad. I have lion on a dvd so i have bootable lion media.

No Lion and ML are 64bit and your Mac is 32bit besides not having the correct CPU and GPU for driver support amongst a few other things.

Do need to know the precise model as there were a number of iMac releases in 2006. A late model 2006 CD will run Lion OS X.7, but not Mountain Lion.

Lion will run on a 32bit machine meeting the specifications.

When I get home tonight I will see if i can figure out the exact model and let you know

my iMac is an early 2006 17" 1.83 core duo processer

Hard luck it will only go as far as Snow Leopard.
