Paid for and downloaded CitiesInMotion game for my son, MAC version, to our iMac Mac OS X version 10.5.8. Icon showed up on our desktop but when we click on a message comes up that reads: the application CitiesInMotion quit unexpectedly. I clicked relaunch but the same thing happens. Suggestions?

Did you check if the game was compatible with Leopard 10.5.8? According to their web site it is not compatible. Here are the system requirements:
