iphoto 11 madness

I installed iphoto11 and now my photos
show a close up of the persons face. when i click on the photo
it opens to a small photo of the close up.

Some pics are fine and open to the full size.
Most of them only open to a thumbnail size.

I have read the iphoto help to try and turn off the faces option
but nothing helps.

Any Ideas ?

Do you have the zoom all the way on the plus side bottom left corner?

No
Even with the zoom all the way down it
still shows the close up of a single face
and still opens up in a small size

It never shows the whole picture.

I think it has something to do with face recognition
