I have installed a program via wine, called zysearch. It installs with a preset set of text files which come with it, and searches those. So if you type in a word, for example "magic", then it will find all the texts in the preset set of files, containing the word magic. And clicking on any file, its entire text will show up in the view window of zysearch. When I highlight text in that window, then select text to speech, it doesn't work. It's just text, which can be copied and pasted anywhere. So it ought to work shouldn't it? How can I get text-to-speech to work here?

Nope

Text to speech is an OSX service for OSX applications, and will not work as a service to a Windows app
