My mbp 250 gig drive is full. Need to put in a larger drive-thinking of Seagate's 750 gig. My mbp is a 2.4 gig, 4,1 model using the NVidia Gforce 8600 video card. Seagate makes a hybrid version of that drive for a bit more money-but will my CPU with a 1.5 gb bus speed be able to take advantage of the 6 gb HHD by Seagate? Should i think about the regular drive and should I go for the 7200 rpm or the 5400 rpm which is what's running in now, and has been totally reliable and silent-something that is important to me.

Am planning to do this myself, after a clone backup. No startup problems that I know of on this drive, but I'm thinking to do a fresh install of OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leapord) which I've been happy with. I've read of problems with energy consumption with Lion.
