Personal Check Template

I want to be able to print the necessary information (name, date, amount) on my personal cheque using my computer.

Can I use a scanned image of my cheque to make a template to overlay the info on to the cheque? I have Word 2011 Mac.

Is there other Mac software to do this?

Scanners I have: ScanSnap S1100, Epson Perfection V500 and Canon MX700.

You can probably design your own template to do this, but it may be easier to find an application that will do it automatically. Here's one: LINK

Is there a way to scan the cheque image into Word, add the information, and then print so just the information is printed on the cheque?

CheckBuilderPro - Check Printing Software for Macintosh is currently just for US cheques.

I suppose you could do it that way but I suspect the resolution of the check template would be inferior and result in a low quality check when printed. You can always try doing one that way to see how it turns out.

To clarify, I just want the name, date and amount to print on my preprinted cheque that I will feed into my printer.
