iPad and raw files

Hi Guys,
Purchased a new iPad 64GB WiFi Cell a few days ago,
Works a treat,
But have 2 questions,
1. How do I sync raw files using iTunes, I have tried but only jpeg are transferring

The plan was to use the iPad to view a few raw files when travelling,

2. If I upload from a card, will I see the raw files? I'm starting to wonder as they are not transferring from iTunes

Some heads-up here
I purchased the app PhotoRaw,
worked a treat

I tried my old multi card reader but the iPad prompted, "too much power, wont work!"
I then just used the camera connection kit with a USB cable and apple camera connection kit, all OK

Found out that iTunes will not transfer raw images with the sync option but you can transfer raw files using file transfer in iTunes
