iPod help

I have a message that pops up every time I try to send a text from my iPod. It says "message not delivered". I am also unable to receive any text. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out what is going on?

Does it happen when sending to a particular recipient, or just all recipients in general?

Are you using iMessage? You can only send iMessage texts to other iOS devices unless you are sending from an iPhone. You also have to be connected to a network for iMessage to work. It doesn't use SMS it uses data.

And cwa's question is a good one - as if it is working for some - are those some on iOS?
