We are moving from the US to New Zealand in two weeks. We own one iMac, one Mac Powerbook, one iPhone, and two 4th gen iPads. I have been told that all Apple products are wired to convert automatically between 110 volt 60 Hertz and 230 volt 50 Hertz. I am just trying to confirm whether of not this is correct. Thanks.

That is correct. However, you will need to purchase AC main adapter plugs when you get to New Zealand or you can purchase them here in the US at any store which sells electronic accessories. Have fun driving on the wrong side of the highway. :)
