You will need to either reinstall OS X or use the app "Pacifist" to extract it from your original 10.5 disk.

Have seen suggestions that downloading/installing the latest combo update might reinstall it, but typically has not been successful.

We would know nothing about a missing plug in with out more info - what app are you using, when do you get an error, and what is the error.

Wait a minute here.
Hi, Im new here. I accidently deleted my system preferences on my osx 10.508.

Just exactly what does that mean?

If you "deleted" something, didn't empty the Trash, but the Trash is empty, then chances are you didn't delete anything.

Do you mean that you deleted the SP icon from the Dock? If so, the real thing is still in your Applications folder. Open that, and drag the SP icon to the left side of the Dock and all will be back to normal.

You CANT delete anything from the Dock. Anything in the Dock is just a Alias. Do as toMACsh posted and goto your Applications Folder and look for System Preferences double click on it then it will open in the Dock. When its in the Dock right click on it then Options and then keep in Dock. . . . . Viola

If you only deleted System Preferences from the Dock, it's still in your Applications folder. Open Finder, click on Applications, drag the System Preferences.app to the left side of the Dock separator and drop it there.

Hold on again. Have you searched for SP in Spotlight? Maybe you have more than one Applications folder, and you just looked in one.

I agree. I just tried to trash my System Preferences and i got the usual msg of “System Preferences.app” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X., i say something is amiss and you havnt search for it thoroughly enough.

Should appear In Applications between Stickies and Text Edit. And as my mate Tattoed says you get the error message if you try to Trash it.
