Final Cut Pro Update

I have just installed the update on FCP 5 which my G5 downloaded along with ipod updates etc. Now it won't launch! I tried the fix suggested on the Apple site for FCP HD (involving typing a command into terminal and then restarting), but that didn't work.

Any other suggestions?

The only thing I would suggest is a fresh reinstall of the original DVD and try updating again.

Just curious, but what command did you type in Terminal?

What version of the update is it? I have the latest version with no problem. Also did you run the disk utility application and repair permissions?
