What size APS BackUPS unit do I need to protect my 27" iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5, modem and Epson 2800 printer?

When you say Backups Unit are you talking about an Uninterruptible Power Supply?

Yes, I'm talking about a surge protector/uninterruptible power supply

Also APC suggests that you plug the printer into the outlet that is surge protected but not battery protected.
Look HERE.

I agree that 1000VA is all you need. 1500 will run it longer on battery power but is $100 more.
