Can I run windows on core 2 duo iMac

I purchased Parallels Desktop 7 but it won't install on my Core 2 Duo iMac:
OS 10.5.7 , 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM

I need it to run Windows 7. Any ideas, please?

Have you checked the system requirements for Parallels 7?

I'm thinking OS 10.5.7 on your Mac is too old. If so…you need to update your Mac's OS.

Actually…I just checked…and apparently all you need is to update your OS to OS 10.5.8…which is a free update. Just go to your:

- Apple drop down menu
- Select "Software Update"
- Install the 10.5.8 update
- try the Parallels install again

Sorry, a typo. the OS is !0.7.5

I tried again and Parallels did install!
