Sunrise on The Columbia River

I put aside my new Sony NEX and reverted back to my killer Nikon D800 for this shot. I'd forgotten the color saturation & depth, the super sharpness that is the norm for this camera. I had lots of light so I was shooting at ISO 100. The golden glow of sunrise on a perfect day even managed to add a touch of fog and rising heat off the water. It was all too perfect. What fun!

Thank you. I love the place I live and want to share the beauty. I try very hard to get out as much as possible while the Autumn color is at its peak. That would be right now. The rain returns tomorrow.

Keep 'em coming Bob. Your shots always make me wish I had time (or made the time) to get out and learn to use my camera.

I've been doing this for 42 years and I can't think of a time where I was so excited to get home and process the shots as I was this morning. I knew when I composed the shots that the light made them extraordinary. Thanks for looking & for your comments. Here's a bonus capture.
