Is it my imagination or did the Google guy kinda tap dance around some of the questions about specs?

here if you're interested. Those are a little unclear though - they don't tell you how fast the processor is or how large the SSD is. According to
this though, the processor is a dual core 1.7ghz ARM processor with a quad core GPU and 16GB SSD. It also has 2GB of RAM. For an OS that is, for all intents and purposes, X with a browser on top, that should be enough.
You know, for someone who really just lives on the web, this is a much better option than a tablet. It has a full keyboard, is considerably cheaper, has a larger screen and still gets decent battery life (not quite as good though). It's not something I'd ever want but for a fair number of people, web applications are powerful enough to meet their daily needs. If only it didn't essentially force you to use Google products...
I read last night that it can run Ubuntu without issue. Perfect. A cheap Ubuntu machine for the road.
Side note - this is another example of how the Brits get screwed with the pricing. How do you put up with this?
