It is **** I lost my mails OUTLOOK is doing strange things lately

Can someone help I lost all my mails outlook is doing strange things to me.

You're going to have to provide a lot more useful information before we can help. What version of OS X? Version of Outlook? What were you doing when this happened? Are you using Outlook with an exchange server or IMAP servers? Have you checked to see if the e-mails are going from the server as well or just locally? What "strange things" are happening right now?

Thanks for your reply, the OS X is version 10.6.8 I am not sure but I think we work through IMAP do you have an idea how I could check?

If you go to the Accounts section (sorry, don't use Outlook for Mac, so can't specifically direct you) where you've set up access to your e-mail server, it should tell you the type (hopefully) that you are using. You might be able to figure it out possibly by the server name, but a lot of them use "mail.severname.com" regardless of IMAP or POP, so that's not a definitive thing.

The thing about IMAP is that changes locally are reflected on the server, so if you end up deleting emails/folders and so on locally the result is immediately made on the server as well. And if that change was unintended, you end up losing it on the server with no easy way of getting it back.

Super thanks to your help I think I resolved the major problem outlook seems to work. Although I lost a lot of files and previoous messages. But it works.
