Messenger log/history

Can anyone tell me how to find Messenger logs/history. I was looking online and I found out that is is supposed to be here: Documents/Microsoft User Data/Microsoft Messenger Data. It's just an empty file, so I looked in the preceding file Messenger Corporate Data, but that is empty too.

I had a conversation with a friend yesterday and I'm looking for an email address they sent to me, my Messenger account is live and active.
