The following is a quote from the same question asked in the Mac Rumors forum about Access on a Mac:

To my knowledge, there is no native Mac software to edit or even read an MS Access database. You have to export the data in Windows to a cross-platform friendly format (Excel, XML, etc) and then import it back if you make changes to it outside of Access.

You can either run Access in a Windows virtual machine using Parallels, Fusion, or the free VirtualBox. Or, install Windows using the Boot Camp assistant and dual boot.

OR you could consider using a more modern database program as an alternative.

Thanks Chas,
I have exported the file and saved it as a CSV file and this seems to work OK
