Mute Boot Up Sound

I'm running only Windows 8 right now, is there a way for me to mute the mac startup sound?

doesn't work, not even holding down mute, remember i said i ONLY have windows

2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
You can't mute the startup sound if you're only running Windows. I don't think you can even lower the startup sound by lowing the Windows 8 volume. If you want the Mac to behave like a Mac, reinstall OS X.
