transferring photos from iphone to macbook pro

how do I transfer photos from iphone to macbook pro -? Specific photos,NOT my whole iPhoto library.When i synch it doesnt seem to give me an option to move image files in that direction. I tried Diskaid but it says some app is locking the iphoto file.I CLOSE all apps except iphoto and Diskaid, it still says that.I have fileapp on the iphone.

MacBook Pro 15" 2.2GHz i7 16GB RAM 250G SSD OS X Mountain Lion, iMac mid 2011, iPhone 3G
When you connect your iPhone, iPhoto in Mac Book Pro will detect it as camera. You will then prompted to import those photos in your iPhone either all or selective.

You will then prompted to import those photos in your iPhone either all or selective.
Normally, in my experience, only those in the camera roll; ie, those that you've taken with the iPhone.
