where is "discoverable" set for my trackpad?

My trackpad had been installed and was working OK. But now I get message saying Bluetooth is not connected properly. Make sure trackpad is set to discoverable. Where can I set that connection?

You make the Trackpad discoverable by hitting the power button. The green light should blink indicating that it's trying to connect to your Mac..
