iMovie problem - video insertion issue?

Hi all

I've just purchased the brilliant iMovie app on my iPad. Unfortunately when I try to insert existing videos from my library it shows up blank, even though when I look in 'Photos' they're all there.

FYI: I've recorded all videos using my iPad.

Please can anybody help?
