email sent before I click send

My emails are sent before I finish editing them in Apple Mail. How can I correct this?

What OS are you using, which version of Mail? Are you hitting any special keys when typing?

I am using Mail Version 6 and OS X Mtn. Lion. I may be using command x, c & v for cut copy paste, & maybe function delete.

How do you know they're being sent?

I hear a swush sound & see the email in sent folder with my partial edit

Ok, this is interesting. I'm wondering if there's a key combination that may be causing this. I've never encountered anything like this before. In fact, I've had an email sitting now for about a half hour, and it's still just in drafts.

cmd - shift - d will send a message.

I never use cmd-shipt-d.There may be another key combination. I use short cuts for cut,copy paste & fn-delete. It happens 1-2 per week. Sometimes when I retrieve draft. Genius Bar said my hand may be too close to track pad, so I am watching that.

using mail 6.2 & OSX 10.8.2

Suggest going into System Preferences > Keyboard and slowing down Key Repaeat. Sometimes they do seem to launch themselves, and not only in Mail.
