new laptop and want to ONLY backup itunes??

I have a new laptop and have my old laptop backed up with time machine.

I want only my itunes to be restored to my new laptop as alot of the junk I had was just crap I never used anyway so I want to leave that behind..

I also cant seem to get my ipods and iphone to sync without losing all the stuff I have on them as well when I hook them up to my new laptop.

so now what??
