which multi -usb ports

i have been trying to find the best hi-speed usb multi port hub- as i have many items to plug into the imac. (large and small)
however the cheaper once seem to cause the imac to freeze or the item cant connect cos it says 'usb speed too low'.
can anyone recommend a good safe reliable hi speed usb multi port hub.

Your best bet to buy a well known name brand hub. It might cost you more than a no name brand, but it's more likely to work..
