I have a brand new MacBook Pro with Lion, and I have the regular Leopard installation disks (not snow leopard). I created a partition that was almost half my harddrive, and then booted up my comp from the disk. It just goes to a black page with white type, and it won't do anything. When I type, nothing happens. Any advice?

Leopard or Snow Leopard are not supported on your computer. Since it was pre-installed with Lion you can only use Lion or upgrade to Mountain Lion. Go back and remove the partition by restoring it to the hard drive so that it will be available for Lion or Mountain Lion.
