I have a Cisco E2000 access point configured to run 1 SSID as WPA secured and another SSID running un-secured in guest mode. I configured the macbook to connect to the secured connection, which it does just fine, however whenever I close the cover and re-open it, it prompts me to log into the guest network. I un-checked the box for it to look for new networks, so I'm not sure why it keeps wanting to log into that guest network.

Are there any other networks in your "Preferred Networks" list? (Network Preferences > Advanced > Wi-Fi)

Pair down listed networks

If you remove the guest network, does that fix the problem?

Am guessing the Guest network is listed first?
Change the order putting the one you want as primary to be listed at the top.
