• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I was messing with an SDHC card containing my video files, when suddenly everything was gone except for the videos I had filmed that day. I used a variety of rescue applications, and always get the same result: All of my files seem to be rescued, however, everything above 29MB will not play on anything. The ones below 29MB are fine, but of course the majority are larger files. I have further tried a few repair softwares, and do not seem to be having any luck. Does anyone know how I can go about getting these files functional? When they are in VLC, it shows the size and length of video, but cant play anything. I would be happy to share one of the files for someone to mess with if this would be helpful. Thank you SO much to anyone that has some words of wisdom.
