I did everything I should have done, but when the Win XP installation got to the point where it reboots the machine I got lost and had to abandon it. Anyone any ideas?

What machine do you have? And what kind of XP disk are you trying to install with?

It's a Macbook Pro 13.3", the first model with the Thunderbolt port. The XP disk is an original XP Pro personal (ie. not Enterprise) disk with SP1 built in. I have a separate SP2 disk, but of course I never got that far.

You can't use that disk the way it is. You may be able to slipstream SP 2 into the original disk. Do you have a Windows machine that you can use to do the slipstreaming? If you do, download and use the free "Autostreamer" from here.

I have a 64-bit machine running Win7, but I don't think I can do anything on XP with that. But thanks, I'll have a look at "Autostreamer".
