    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

Hey guys. I have a 250gb hard drive, currently have 40gb available. I was wondering if this was efecting my Adobe premier. Its a macbook pro, about 2 years old. Everytime I play a sequence in AP itstarts of playing then stutters, thewn slows, then ust pretty much stops. It seems to not be able to handle it

any suggestions?

Probably not a hard drive capacity problem but if your format is HD it may be that the system cannot decode fast enough.

I worked with video back when hard drives were small (1.5 Gb) and just about fast enough to play basic 4 X 3 video and Premier 6 was the super must have prog.. It was then necessary to ensure that nothing on the computer interfered with the drive or memory. E.g. no other programs, utilities, etc that were not absolutely essential were running. An email program doing an auto check for new mail would be enough to bugger playback so make sure you have a clean stat up with nothing other than AP running and then see what happens.

Another thought is, are you rendering the video before playback? That can cause problem if the computer is trying to render and playback on the fly. Just press enter before playing from the timeline and anything that needs rendering will be done before playback starts
