Hello, I have found bits and pieces of the answer to this, but nothing 100% comprehensive, so I was hoping y'all would be able to help me out.
I'm using a Echo Audiofire 8 to manage my incoming signals from a keyboard, synth, and digital piano. I understand that the Af8 takes over the recording level from Garageband. The levels coming in are a bit weak, but since I don't have a pre-amp, I can't change that.
So, as a stopgap, I've been using an EQ plugin on each of the tracks so bring them up to a reasonable level (I have to set all 10 levels by hand). I was wondering if there's there a plugin or something of that nature that can handle this duty automatically? Or, even better, is there a better way to increase the recording level without investing in an Audiofire Pre8 or a preamp?
Thanks, in advance.
