locking wireless network

i have just installed a belkin wireless router onto my uncles imac g5. even though the cd in the box didn;t provide a mac installation, it seems to work fine when we just plugged it in.

Is there a way to prevent everyone in the range logging in, with a password to connect or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

you must turn on wep or wpa. then you must turn on MAC address filtering to only accept your uncle's MAC address. then changing the IP address of the router. set or change all passwords.

there is probably a web based admin page if you type in the standard IP address.

Why do you need ALL of that? Just turn on WEP (128 Bit) and password protect it. That will take care of 99% of the wankers out there who want to try to get on to your network. You only need MAC addressing if your really paranoid about it.
