Upgrade to Mountain Lion

I am thinking of upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion. I have got Microsoft Word installed how do I find out if I will lose it in the upgrade.

You will not lose applications during the upgrade. The OS will be upgraded with everything in tact. I did the upgrade on Friday and every application that was working on Lion previously continues to work the same way in Mountain Lion..my documents, dock contents everything remained unchanged..

Pay attention to and follow all recommended Microsoft Office upgrades BEFORE and AFTER you install Mountain Lion. MS initially said Office 08 and 11 work fine with ML, then issued a patch after they discovered some (minor) issues. If you're up-to-date on either version, you're good to go to ML.
