I have Comcast cable internet service. Use Comcast modem/router with Time Capsule in bridge mode. Have a 25 foot run of cat 5 cable from the Time Capsule to home office. Thunderbolt Monitor is connected via older network switch 10/100 speed to the cable from the Time Capsule. Thunderbolt Monitor then comes to MacBook Air via thunderbolt cable.
Would a faster switch make any difference as far as internet speeds up and down? I doubt it, but not sure.
