I'm now getting an automatic popup for MacKeeper when I turn on my computer. Is this a legit update or a hackjob? How do I know?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Any chance you have downloaded Mackeeper which is real crapware? If so remove it. If not perhaps AdBlock will be the go.

Did you install MacKeeper? If so… do yourself a favor and uninstall it. It's garbage. See my signature for further instructions.
