hi i was wondering if i got a powermac g4 with 500 mhz processor
and 512 mb ram would i be able to run os x panther with no problems?

and will the speed of the computer be slow?

panther will work fine, no problems. the processor can handle panther easily. The speed of the computer should be fine. I have a beige g3 that is running OS X and it works great. Now on the other hand, if you wanted to install tiger, I would upp the ram to at least 768mb.

well as of right now im on ebay looking for a mac around the price range of 300 dollars and can run os x
im really sick of the windows os it has a lot of flaws in it
